About the role
The Visual Designer sits within the Product Creative team to own asset creation, general visual design, and motion support. This role is based in our Bellevue, WA, Menlo Park, CA, and New York, NY offices, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Partner with designers, engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality visual assets that maintain consistency across Robinhood's products
- Serve as the team's go-to resource for icon design, illustration, 3D assets, and motion support, ensuring everything integrates with the existing design system
- Build and maintain AI-powered workflows — using tools like Midjourney, ComfyUI, and VV — to create scalable, repeatable asset production processes
- Develop automation tools that enable the broader team to generate and iterate on batches of assets more efficiently
- Take proactive ownership of creative systems and processes, identifying opportunities to modernize and scale output
- Champion visual craft and quality across high-impact product launches
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in visual design with a strong portfolio demonstrating scalable systems work
- Sophisticated visual craft across typography, color, composition, and motion, with the judgment to apply it within a mature design system
- Hands-on experience with AI generation tools (Midjourney, ComfyUI, or equivalent) and the ability to build and adapt workflows — not just use them
- A systems-ownership mindset: you proactively identify gaps, build infrastructure, and improve processes
- Proficiency with Figma; experience with scripting or coded tools for asset automation is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence design quality across cross-functional teams

Pay
The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
