Visual Communication Designer
Location: Pensacola, FL | Type: Contract | Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote | Hours: 40/week
About the role
The Visual Experience Design Contractor will support the Visual Experience Design team by providing design and visualization services across analytics, reporting, and executive communication deliverables. The role focuses on lower-complexity, high-volume work including report formatting, visual updates, presentation development, graphics creation, dashboard enhancements, and usability improvements. The contractor will partner with analysts, program managers, and business stakeholders to ensure reporting products meet established visual and usability standards. This role helps maintain service levels and reduce backlog while enabling the Visual Experience Design team to focus on strategic initiatives, innovation efforts, executive reporting, QBR development, Strategic Conference support, and other high-impact organizational priorities.
Responsibilities
- Design and visualize analytics, reporting, and executive communication deliverables
- Format reports and perform visual updates
- Develop presentations and create graphics
- Enhance dashboards and improve usability
- Collaborate with analysts, program managers, and business stakeholders to meet visual and usability standards
Skills
- PowerPoint presentation design
- Data visualization and dashboard design (PowerBI)
- Graphic design and visual communications
- Attention to detail and quality control
- Experience supporting executive-facing deliverables
- Ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with BI reporting tools (preferred)
