Research Visiting Scholars at the University of Cincinnati are expected to conduct research, train students, scholarly and other professional or creative activities. Essential Functions
- Design and perform experiments, data analysis, interpretation, and develop new ideas that promote current research.
- Prepare data summaries, reports, manuscripts and presentations of research results.
- Report progress in an organized fashion during group meetings and one-on-one meetings with the Principal Investigator.
- Attend meetings, prepare materials for training undergraduate and/or graduate students.
- Write manuscripts for publication in scientific journals.
- Interact with senior and junior members of the lab.
Required Education
- Doctoral Degree in the appropriate field or discipline, or the recognized terminal degree and prior academic experience related to critical care or sepsis.
Required Experience
- Demonstrated experience in flow cytometry, immune-staining, immunoprecipitation, ELISA, real-time PCR, Western-blot, cell culture, and animal sepsis model as well as publications.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
