About the role
The Department of Health and Human Performance (HHP) at Norwich University invites applicants for a full-time visiting instructor/assistant professor for one year, starting in Fall 2026.
Responsibilities
- Teaching in the Exercise Science and Health Science programs
- Opportunities for scholarship and/or institutional service, including an interim position of Program Director of the CoAES-accredited Exercise Science program
- Strong teaching records and/or experience conducting research with undergraduates
- Passion for excellent teaching, with post-secondary level teaching experience preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to working with a diverse student body
- Willingness to work collaboratively with other faculty
Requirements
- A doctorate in Exercise Science, Sport and Exercise Psychology or related field, is required for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor
- ABD candidates will be considered for the position of Visiting Instructor
- Demonstrate the ability to teach some or all of the following undergraduate courses: Nutrition, Introductory and Advanced Exercise and Sport Psychology, Research Methods, and various introductory level courses such as Scientific Foundations of Health and Wellness
