This is a 9-month, non-tenure earning, Visiting Laboratory Lecturer of Chemistry position in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
About the Department
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at UNF offers Chemistry baccalaureate degrees, with concentrations in General Chemistry, Pre-medical Professions, and Materials Science, and a Biochemistry baccalaureate degree. Master's level degrees are offered in Materials Science and Biomedical Sciences, with additional programs in development related to drug discovery and health research.
Responsibilities
- Teaching load of 5/5, or its equivalent
- Service to the department, college, and university
Requirements
- Earned a master's degree from an accredited institution in the field of instruction or a closely related discipline by the employment start date
- Selected candidate must submit official transcripts (and, as applicable, U.S. degree equivalency evaluations) documenting the conferral of their qualifying academic credentials by the date of hire
- Applicants may be required to upload additional documents based on responses to Foreign Influence Review questions, including passport (all pages including blank pages) and Form DS-160 (or an explanation if not submitted)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous, documented experience in teaching undergraduate chemistry laboratory courses
- Demonstrated commitment and capability to provide an excellent learning environment, apply student-centered instructional methods, and contribute to the development and implementation of curricular content
