Visiting Instructor or Lecturer, Economist in Residence
UCF’s Barry S. Miller College of Business seeks a 9-month, non-tenure-earning visiting instructor or lecturer in the Department of Economics to teach and mentor undergraduate students while serving as Economist-in-Residence for a new Initiative on Economic Decision Systems. The appointment is renewable for up to four years and is based on the UCF main campus, with an anticipated start as early as Spring 2027.
About the role

The successful candidate will play a foundational role in establishing the Initiative’s operating model, leading applied projects, and mentoring students in structured project experiences. Success will be measured by the creation of a sustainable lab that delivers a distinctive student experience, meaningful industry engagement, and a repeatable pipeline of applied decision-system projects.
