About the role

The School of Health Sciences at the University of the Pacific invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure track position as a Course Instructor/Clinical Supervisor in the Department of Audiology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction for a total of three to twenty (3-20) hours per week (depending on your course/contract).
  • Supervision of two (2) student clinicians per hour. Occasionally a clinical instructor may be assigned three (3) student clinicians per hour.
  • Provide each student clinician with a minimum of twenty-five percent (25%) direct supervision or more to meet the needs of the particular student clinician and/or client.
  • Complete semester supervision log to document supervision time for accreditation requirements by the last day of the semester.
  • Provide written feedback towards clinical reports and observational assignments.
  • Occasionally a clinical instructor may be assigned to provide clinical supervision for two (2) student clinicians per hour.

Requirements

  • An AuD or Ph.D. degree with relevant background to course being taught.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a professional environment working with clinical populations.

  • Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
  • Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
