Non-tenure track, one-year appointment in the Department of Economics at Indiana University Bloomington, beginning fall 2026.

About the role

The Department of Economics invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in Macroeconomics. We welcome candidates working in all areas of macroeconomics. The successful candidate will teach four courses over the academic year (typically two per semester) at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, depending on departmental needs and the candidate’s expertise. The position requires a strong commitment to high-quality instruction and active participation in the intellectual life of the department.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Economics completed by the start date of the appointment.
  • H1-B sponsorship is not available; international candidates must be eligible for Optional Practical Training (OPT) for the 2026/2027 academic year.
