Three temporary positions available to be filled. Appointment begins August 18, 2025 with the possibility of renewal for up to five years contingent on performance and funding.

About the Role

Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in social work in the Department of Family Science and Social Work. The College of Education, Health and Society (EHS) was founded in 1902 and embraces opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration across its six departments.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or terminal degree in Family Science or Social Work or closely related field by date of appointment, and a minimum of two years of practice experience post master’s degree achievement for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor.
  • For appointment to Instructor: Master’s (or ABD) in Social Work or closely related field by date of appointment, and a minimum of two years of practice experience post master’s degree achievement.

Consideration may be given to candidates with:

  • A minimum of five years practice experience post master’s degree achievement.
  • Licensure (e.g., LSW, LISW, LISW-S) in social work.
  • Experience teaching hybrid or fully online as well as face-to-face courses.
