Position Details

The Department of Health Sciences and Human Performance within the College of Natural and Health Sciences at the University of Tampa invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning in August 2026.

Program Description

This is a one-year teaching position that may have some service requirements. Teaching responsibilities will be in the two-semester sequence of human anatomy and physiology courses. Members of the faculty are expected to create engaging, inclusive learning environments that challenge students to reach their potential.

Teaching

• Potential for excellence in teaching

• Emphasize shared learning objectives across a range of subject areas within the health sciences
• Each candidate will be expected to teach 27 contact hours per academic year

Qualifications

• Earned Doctorate by August 2026 preferred
• Earned Master's Degree in a Health Sciences and Human Performance-related discipline considered
• Demonstrated expertise in human anatomy and physiology
• Prior in-person teaching experience required
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence at the university level
• Preferential consideration for those with experience in teaching in-person anatomy and physiology for nursing and health sciences

Salary

Salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
