Minimum Qualifications
- Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE accredited institution.
- Two (2) years post- MSW social work practitioner experience in the field of social work.
- One (1) year teaching experience in social work education full-time or part-time in asynchronous programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Social Work.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in social work education, teaching asynchronously.
- Experience with online learning management systems, education platforms and technologies.
- Clinical social work licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- Practice experience within one (1) or more of the following areas: Medical/hospital social work, Aging, palliative care, rehabilitation, Community health, Community mental health, Behavioral health and integrated systems, Healthcare evaluation and management, Policy and advocacy work.
- Demonstrated experience in online curriculum development and instructional design.
- Experience in academic advising and student support services.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven knowledge of accreditation standards and processes for social work programs.
- Experience with online pedagogy and tools.
- Clinical social work licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong knowledge, skills and experience in working with diverse students and client/patient populations.
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
