Virtual Occupational Therapist (New York State Certified)

About the role

This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position following the school district's calendar. Immediate start dates are based on available placement opportunities upon completion of the application process.

Responsibilities

• Promote creativity and excitement in the virtual learning environment
• Create strategies to engage and nurture student learning and student relationships
• Evaluate levels of fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills
• Develop and execute treatment plans that address specific student needs
• Document sessions and record data on progress towards IEP goals
• Meet with personnel at the school or district to transmit information about student progress

Requirements

• Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program
• Active NY State OT license
• NBCOT certification
• Reliable, HIPAA-compliant teletherapy platform experience
• Strong tech setup (webcam, headset, stable internet, private workspace)
• Comfort collaborating remotely with classroom teachers, case managers, and families
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Pay

Description $55-$80 hourly rate; rates are negotiable and subject to change.
