Virtual Language Arts Instructor

Accountabilities

• Deliver engaging, high-quality online instruction that helps students strengthen their reading, writing, and critical thinking abilities.
• Create an interactive virtual classroom experience where students are encouraged to participate, explore ideas, and develop confidence in their communication skills.
• Facilitate student discussions and allow learners to actively contribute to the learning process.
• Provide thoughtful, detailed feedback on student writing assignments to support improvement and growth.
• Manage small online classes with motivated learners while maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.
• Adapt teaching approaches to support different learning styles and encourage student success.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic educator with strong language arts expertise and experience teaching or tutoring students in a virtual or classroom setting.
• This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for working with advanced learners, and the ability to create meaningful educational experiences online.
• A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a humanities discipline related to language arts; a master’s degree or higher is preferred.
• Strong academic background in English, reading, writing, and grammar.
• Experience teaching or tutoring K-12 students, with classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Experience working with high-achieving or advanced students is a plus.
• Comfortable using Zoom or similar video conferencing platforms and managing an online classroom.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback.
• Ability to foster student engagement, curiosity, and critical thinking in a virtual learning environment.
• Must currently reside in and be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
