Key Responsibilities
- Provide trauma-focused therapeutic services to clients participating in the virtual IOP program, including those in eating disorder recovery and with co-occurring mental health or substance use conditions.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions via secure telehealth platforms.
- Conduct clinical assessments, including diagnostic impressions and risk assessments, to inform treatment planning.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EHR, in compliance with organizational, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and provide clinical information needed for utilization review (UR), including justification of medical necessity and continued stay to insurance providers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members (nursing, medical, dietary, and case management) to ensure comprehensive client care.
- Engage clients through a professional and empathetic virtual presence to foster trust and therapeutic rapport.
- Monitor client progress and safety, adjusting treatment approaches as clinically necessary.
Qualifications
- Licensed Therapist (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) in the state of Texas required. Multi-state licenses a plus!
- Experience working in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) or similar higher level of care setting preferred.
- Strong background in trauma-focused therapy approaches.
- Experience treating eating disorders and/or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders highly desirable.
- Familiarity with utilization review processes and documentation requirements for medical necessity.
- Proficient with EHR systems and telehealth technology, and comfortable delivering therapy virtually.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an engaging virtual presence.
- Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and ethical standards.
