Virtual Financial Planning and Investment Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial planning and investment analysis to support personalized client recommendations.
  • Prepare advisors for client meetings through thoughtful research, planning, and organization.
  • Assist with post-meeting analysis, strategy development, and implementation follow-through.
  • Research planning concepts, investment solutions, and product recommendations that support clients’ long-term objectives.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evaluation of investment strategies, portfolio models, and planning opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate client information within financial planning and investment systems.
  • Ensure planning data, assumptions, and supporting documentation remain current and organized.
  • Prepare reports, illustrations, and other technical materials that support client meetings and recommendations.
  • Assist with technical workflows related to financial planning, investment management, and client implementation.
  • Help maintain the integrity and efficiency of the firm’s planning processes and technology platforms.
  • Partner closely with advisors, client service, and operations team members to support a seamless client experience, interacting directly with clients when needed.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to ensure planning and investment recommendations are implemented accurately and efficiently.
  • Work alongside outside professionals, including CPAs, attorneys, and other specialists, as appropriate to support client planning strategies.
  • Contribute wherever analytical expertise is needed to support the firm’s ongoing success.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years in financial services industry or CFP®, CFP® candidate, or similar certification.
  • Experience in financial planning, wealth management, investment analysis, paraplanning, or a related field.
  • Series 7 and/or Series 66 or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a desire to continually learn.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Professional judgment, discretion, and integrity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
