About the Role

As a Virtual Special Education Teacher, you'll provide high-quality instruction and support to students receiving special education services. You'll collaborate with administrators, general education teachers, families, and support staff to create engaging learning experiences that help students thrive academically and personally.

Current Openings Include:

• 2 Occupational Course of Study (OCS) Teachers
  • Career-focused instruction for students with disabilities
  • Academic support combined with job readiness and work-based learning
  • Preparing students for employment and independent adult living
• 1 Extended Content Standards (ECS) Teacher
  • Supporting students with significant cognitive disabilities
  • Adapting curriculum to meet individualized learning needs
  • Delivering meaningful access to core academic content

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs)
• Deliver specialized instruction in a virtual learning environment
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in ECATS
• Collaborate with general education staff and multidisciplinary teams
• Provide consultation and support to students, families, and educators
• Foster an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Participate in planning meetings and educational program development

Requirements

• Valid state teaching certification as required by state and district regulations
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Minimum age of 18 years

Qualifications

• Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum one year of teaching experience
  • Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education Teaching Certification
  • Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement
  • Current CPR certification (if applicable)
  • Current health documentation and TB screening requirements (if applicable)
