About the Role

We are looking for an experienced CFP® to join our growing team as Director of Financial Planning. This is a newly created role that will work alongside Glen Monroe to support the firm’s established, comprehensive financial planning practice as the firm continues to grow. As a Director of Financial Planning, you will serve as a senior planning resource taking ownership of creating, managing, and maintaining thoughtful, comprehensive financial plans for our clients. Our clients are primarily successful technology professionals, many of whom have complex compensation structures that include stock options, restricted stock, and other forms of equity compensation. The ability to understand and confidently work through these planning considerations is an important part of the role.

This position is ideal for an experienced financial planner who is highly organized, technically strong, and comfortable working independently. We are a small, fully remote team looking for someone who can take ownership of their work, manage competing priorities, and communicate clearly. This role is best suited for someone who can work with a high degree of autonomy and excels at bringing order and clarity to complex, detail-intensive financial information.

Responsibilities

  • Create and develop comprehensive financial plans within eMoney, translating client data and goals into actionable recommendations
  • Ensure client plans remain accurate, current, and reflective of clients’ evolving circumstances by regularly updating across various planning software systems
  • Participate in client meetings and contribute to planning discussions as needed
  • Respond to client questions and provide follow-up support related to financial planning recommendations
  • Organize and manage all incoming client data pertaining to financial planning
  • Track client follow-ups, deadlines, and key deliverables
  • Use the firm’s CRM to manage financial planning workflows and identify opportunities to improve the firm’s efficiency
  • Collaborate with our Client Service Associate to ensure a seamless client experience
  • Deliver high-touch, concierge-level service with attention to detail and care
  • Stay current on tax laws, regulations, and other developments affecting clients and proactively communicate relevant updates to the team
  • Continuously seek to improve the firm’s financial planning processes and bring innovative ideas to the team

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in a financial planning-focused role
  • CFP® designation required
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong technical proficiency with eMoney
  • Experience with Holistiplan and/or Slant a plus
  • Experience working with clients who have equity compensation is preferred
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and excellent at follow-through

Pay

Base Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 (commensurate with experience; flexibility for highly qualified candidates)

Schedule

Full-time W2 remote position. Must be able to work standard Pacific business hours (candidates in Pacific or Mountain time zones preferred).
