About the role
Join an exciting team helping patients overcome back, neck, and joint pain. As an Athletic Trainer, you will serve as a trusted guide throughout the patient journey–acting as a liaison between patients and the multidisciplinary care team while providing education, support, and accountability every step of the way.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted guide and primary point of contact throughout each patient’s care journey.
- Conduct virtual visits to educate, motivate, and support patients in achieving their health goals.
- Reinforce individualized care plans developed by the multidisciplinary clinical team.
- Promote adherence to prescribed home exercise programs while providing education and resources that support healthy lifestyle behaviors.
- Identify barriers to patient engagement and develop strategies to improve participation and outcomes.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate clinical concerns or changes to the appropriate members of the care team.
- Provide education on topics including pain science, nutrition, sleep, ergonomics, stress management, behavior change, and other wellness strategies that support musculoskeletal health.
- Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in clinical discussions, quality improvement initiatives, and operational projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a patient-facing healthcare role.
- Experience in musculoskeletal or orthopedic care.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Experience providing high-volume, one-on-one patient interactions.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to educate, motivate, and build rapport with patients.
- Comfortable using technology and learning new digital health platforms.
- Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, professional remote workspace.
