About the Role
The VIP Bartender provides exceptional service while taking and fulfilling orders, maintaining extensive knowledge of the drink menu, wines, spirits, and service standards.
Responsibilities
- Practice, support, and promote the company-wide culture and service standards.
- Know the types and brand names of all beverage products offered (e.g., well, call, premium, ultra, and specialty).
- Suggest acceptable alternatives when an ordered item is unavailable.
- Prepare and pour drinks accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to free-pouring, jigger, and liquor gun standards.
- Demonstrate detailed knowledge of pour sizes, portion standards, and drink recipes, including preparation and garnishing.
- Operate all soda, juice, and liquor dispensing systems.
- Use appropriate glassware as specified by outlet or drink recipes.
- Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar, lounge, and side station, including glassware, condiments, and dry goods.
- Verify par levels for all products and equipment at the start of each shift and report shortages to management.
- Be approachable and anticipate guest needs, checking in regularly to ensure satisfaction.
- Deliver food and beverage items to guests promptly.
- Report any team member or guest concerns to the manager on duty.
- Manage time effectively with minimal supervision while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Maintain bar cleanliness throughout the shift.
- Operate the InfoGenesis POS system, handling cash transactions in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate cash handling procedures, ensuring no comingling of funds.
- Handle glass-washing machine chemicals safely and know the location of the MSDS booklet.
- Account for all cash variances of +/-$10.00.
- Verify liquor deliveries against order forms, noting discrepancies, and report shortages or overages to management.
- Maintain personal grooming and uniform standards per department and company guidelines.
