About the role

Syft is looking for a skilled software engineer to join our growing team. You'll work on building and maintaining the core platform that connects bakers with customers, focusing on reliability, performance, and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
• Collaborate with product and design teams to implement new features
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner
• Optimize application performance and database queries

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and Django framework
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation
• Understanding of version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote team

Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with frontend technologies (React, JavaScript) is a plus
• Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues

Pay

$130,000 – $160,000 per year, depending on experience
