About the role

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and help build the next generation of our platform. You'll work on high-impact projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to define technical requirements
• Mentor and guide junior team members through code reviews and pair programming
• Optimize application performance and ensure high availability
• Participate in on-call rotation to support production systems

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with Django or similar frameworks
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and query optimization
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Experience leading technical initiatives or projects
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team

Skills

• Distributed systems and microservices architecture
• RESTful API design and GraphQL
• Testing frameworks (pytest, unittest)
• Monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Datadog)

Pay

$160,000 – $190,000 per year, depending on experience and location.

Schedule

Full-time, remote-friendly with core collaboration hours from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM ET.
