ViiV Medical Science Liaison, Pacific Northwest (OR/WA/ID/AK)

About the role

ViiV Healthcare is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our dynamic team in the Pacific Northwest region. The MSL will play a crucial role in advancing clinical practice and improving patient outcomes through scientific engagement with healthcare providers and medical experts.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain strong relationships with external experts and healthcare professionals.
• Engage in scientific discussions and collaborations to support ViiV’s medical and clinical objectives.
• Provide scientific expertise and advance clinical practice within the assigned territory.
• Collect and relay insights from the field to inform product development, clinical trials, and market strategies.
• Develop and deliver scientific presentations and training sessions for healthcare professionals and internal teams.
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
• Mentor and coach new or less experienced MSLs.
• Interface with a wide range of stakeholders, including external experts, healthcare professionals, investigators, professional societies, advocacy groups, and formulary decision-makers.
• Support clinical development activities, including GSK and Investigator Sponsored Studies (ISS).
• Conduct business with a One-ViiV mindset, engaging across matrix stakeholders.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, or APP)
• 3+ years of clinical experience in HIV or Infectious Disease
• Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications

• HIV field medical experience in the US
• Proven track record of consistent, high performance within Field-Based Medical Affairs
• Solid grounding in clinical, medical, and pharmaceutical science
• Experience evaluating and effectively communicating evidence-based medicine
• Strong scientific communication and presentation skills
• Leadership skills and experience
• Excellent mentoring abilities
• Effective communication skills

The US annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $168,750 to $281,250, with an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in a share-based long-term incentive program.
