Videographer/Photographer (REMOTE)

About the role

The Videographer / Photographer at Cengage is responsible for creating compelling visual content that supports marketing, brand, and communications efforts. This role involves planing, shooting, and producing high-quality video and photography content, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring visual consistency and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Edit video footage, including sequencing, color correction, sound editing, and basic motion graphics
• Capture and edit professional photography for digital, social media, web, events, and campaigns
• Develop visual concepts that align with campaign goals
• Ensure all visual assets align with brand guidelines, visual identity, and quality standards
• Manage end-to-end production, including pre-production planning, on-site shooting, and post-production editing
• Organize and maintain digital asset libraries, ensuring proper file management and accessibility
• Deliver assets in multiple formats, sizes, and aspect ratios for different platforms
• Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently while maintaining project timelines
• Support live or recorded event coverage as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Photography, Film, Media Production, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in video production and/or photography
• Proficiency in video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects is a plus)
• Strong knowledge of lighting, composition, camera equipment, and post-production techniques
• Demonstrated portfolio of video and photography work
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and visual storytelling skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
