Videographer – French Interview, San Francisco

About the Role

This role involves producing a compelling video portrait of a former student, capturing his professional journey and achievements in the United States. The project centers on a four-hour shoot across two locations in San Francisco, with a strong emphasis on storytelling through both interview and B-roll footage. The interview will be conducted entirely in French, requiring the videographer to be fluent and comfortable directing and recording in the language. The final deliverable should reflect a polished, professional standard in both image and sound, aligning with the visual style and pacing demonstrated in the provided examples. The shoot is scheduled for September 2026.

Responsibilities

• Film a video portrait, including a French-language interview and supporting B-roll, at two San Francisco locations
• Direct and record the interview, ensuring clarity and professionalism in both image and sound
• Capture supplementary footage to illustrate the subject's professional journey and achievements
• Collaborate on creative direction to match the visual style and tone of previous organizational content
• Manage all aspects of on-site production, including lighting, audio, and camera setup
• Deliver high-quality, edited video files suitable for online and social media distribution

Skills and Requirements

• Proven experience as a videographer, with a strong portfolio of interview-based video portraits or documentaries
• Native or fluent French speaker, able to conduct and direct interviews in French
• Proficient with professional video, audio, and lighting equipment
• Skilled in post-production editing, color grading, and sound mixing
• Ability to work independently and efficiently within a limited shoot window
• Based in or able to travel to San Francisco for the shoot in September 2026
