About the Role
This position focuses on generating content for broadcasts, the web, and social media. The Photographer will primarily shoot and edit video, gather news (either with a reporter or solo), and work across various media channels in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong photography and non-linear editing skills
- Meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
- Work flexible hours, including any time of day as required
- Provide own transportation to assignments
- Maintain availability for contact by phone
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Work independently or collaboratively in a team setting
- Show initiative and creativity in photography
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager and News Director
Requirements
- Solid news judgment and ability to work under constant deadline pressure
- Degree in television production or photography (desired but not required)
- Previous newsroom experience as an employee or intern (desired)
- Proficiency in operating photography and editing equipment
- Valid driver’s license
- Regular and timely attendance with flexibility for changing operational needs

- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
