Full-time onsite position based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
About the role
The Utah Jazz & Utah Mammoth are seeking an experienced Videographer/Editor for our broadcasts. We’re looking for a skilled storyteller with 2+ years of sports videography and editing experience, proficient in Sony cameras (FX3, FX6) and Adobe Premiere. This role requires a collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, event-based environment.
Responsibilities
- On-call availability to shoot stories, practice and post-practice interviews, and game-day content (skate-around, in-game footage).
- Edit high-quality video content for pregame, game, and postgame broadcasts.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment to ideate and execute concepts for varied platforms.
- Manage projects from pre- to post-production.
- Assist in multiple areas of production as needed.
- Tag and log video content.
- Maintain and track production equipment.
- Take detailed notes and deliver work on time.
- Uphold the Smith Entertainment Group mission and values: transparent, all-in, community-obsessed, one team, and scrappy.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Videographer and Editor.
- Expert-level knowledge of Sony camera equipment (FX3, FX6) and Adobe Premiere.
- Familiarity with NHL and NBA preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects efficiently.
- Excellent communication, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work a flexible, event-based schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
- Must be based in Salt Lake City; remote work is not an option.
Physical Demands
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
- Capability to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ice-skating ability is a plus.
- Must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess production needs.
