Job Overview
As an industry leader of premium windows and doors, Marvin seeks a Videographer + Editor to help tell compelling stories about the company's possibilities through short- and long-form pieces. The role involves planning and strategy, project leadership, editing, animating, and managing video equipment.
Responsibilities
- Think creatively and strategically to enhance Marvin’s premium position in the marketplace
- Participate in the implementation and execution of video projects, fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Create various edits from a shoot, including long-form case studies, cutdowns for owned channels and paid placements, and thought-leadership pieces
- Manage digital assets through an organized file storage system, apply consistent naming conventions, and color correct footage to established brand standards
- Collaborate with art directors and designers to concept and animate motion graphics for select pieces
- Assist with the management and maintenance of all video equipment, including lenses, lighting, drone and associated equipment, file storage, and more
- Proactively solicit feedback on projects, evaluate success, and work to optimize current work and evolve future projects
Requirements
- Ability to collaborate and take direction in the planning and execution of complex shoots
- Strong creative thinker with the ability to translate creative vision and business objectives into final deliverables
- Solution-oriented and innovative thinking abilities
- Quickly learn and understand technical product information and translate it into effective communication
- Professional understanding of the post-production workflow
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Flexible approach and ability to adapt to ever-changing video techniques and technologies
- Experience working in the field and in the studio
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, and the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite, Apple OS, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Extensive knowledge of professional camera systems and settings
- Drone experience, FAA licensed operator preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or affiliated work experience in videography
- 5+ years of experience working in the field and in the studio
- Expansive portfolio showcasing compelling production and post-production abilities
- Experienced understanding of lighting best practices
- Professional understanding of the post-production workflow
- Ability to color correct and grade footage
- Ability to record and mix high quality audio for video
