Job Overview

As an industry leader of premium windows and doors, Marvin seeks a Videographer + Editor to help tell compelling stories about the company's possibilities through short- and long-form pieces. The role involves planning and strategy, project leadership, editing, animating, and managing video equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Think creatively and strategically to enhance Marvin’s premium position in the marketplace
  • Participate in the implementation and execution of video projects, fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Create various edits from a shoot, including long-form case studies, cutdowns for owned channels and paid placements, and thought-leadership pieces
  • Manage digital assets through an organized file storage system, apply consistent naming conventions, and color correct footage to established brand standards
  • Collaborate with art directors and designers to concept and animate motion graphics for select pieces
  • Assist with the management and maintenance of all video equipment, including lenses, lighting, drone and associated equipment, file storage, and more
  • Proactively solicit feedback on projects, evaluate success, and work to optimize current work and evolve future projects

Requirements

  • Ability to collaborate and take direction in the planning and execution of complex shoots
  • Strong creative thinker with the ability to translate creative vision and business objectives into final deliverables
  • Solution-oriented and innovative thinking abilities
  • Quickly learn and understand technical product information and translate it into effective communication
  • Professional understanding of the post-production workflow
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Flexible approach and ability to adapt to ever-changing video techniques and technologies
  • Experience working in the field and in the studio
  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, and the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite, Apple OS, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Extensive knowledge of professional camera systems and settings
  • Drone experience, FAA licensed operator preferred

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or affiliated work experience in videography
  • 5+ years of experience working in the field and in the studio
  • Expansive portfolio showcasing compelling production and post-production abilities
  • Experienced understanding of lighting best practices
  • Professional understanding of the post-production workflow
  • Ability to color correct and grade footage
  • Ability to record and mix high quality audio for video
