Position Summary
The Video & Security Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise security systems and associated processes.
Role And Responsibilities
- Perform installations with minimal supervision, including the wiring, setup, and testing of enterprise security components such as access control panels, IP-based video surveillance, commercial access control, and intrusion alarm systems
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and program various security devices, ensuring the optimal functioning of commercial access control systems, IP-based video surveillance systems, and intrusion alarms by regularly servicing them and addressing any identified issues
- Lead and guide a team during project installations, ensuring that all tasks are executed according to plans and quality standards
- Oversee the quality of all work performed, ensuring compliance with company standards, and provide exceptional customer service to maintain client satisfaction
- Monitor and document project milestones, addressing any delays or issues that arise, and ensure projects are completed on time
- Assist clients by diagnosing and resolving system issues remotely in a professional and timely manner
- Identify and resolve issues related to IP-based video surveillance by troubleshooting connectivity, configuration, and functionality problems to restore proper operation of IP camera systems
- Diagnose and repair access control issues by addressing hardware malfunctions and software configuration errors to restore full system operation for access control systems

- Educational & Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or relevant work experience, Minimum of 3 years of field experience, Electronics training from a technical school or military background in electronics-communications, preferred, Certifications in Axis, Hanwha, Wisenet, Exacq, Paxton, 2N, preferred, Holds Connecticut E, C or L License, preferred, OSHA 10 certification
