VIDEO PRODUCER
At YM360, our mission is to help youth pastors disciple students. The Video Producer advances that mission by creating compelling, high-quality visual content that strengthens YM360 resources, events, marketing initiatives, and the overall visual brand. This position exists to bring YM360 and GENERATE stories, products, experiences, and messages to life through excellent video production, helping our teams communicate more effectively and expanding the impact of the ministry across every area of the organization.
About the Role
The Video Producer is responsible for the execution of video projects across YM360, including filming, editing, production planning, and management of video-related equipment and resources. This position serves as the primary video producer and editor for content supporting GENERATE events, YM360 marketing initiatives, publishing resources, social media, and other organization-wide projects. As a member of the Creative/Production Team, the Video Producer works collaboratively across departments to deliver projects on time, maintain a consistently high standard of production quality, and protect and advance the YM360 and GENERATE visual brands. This role also contributes creatively to project development by participating in concept and creative meetings, bringing new ideas to the team, and helping continually strengthen YM360 visual storytelling.
Responsibilities
- Video Production
- Serve as the primary Director of Photography for YM360 video projects, including GENERATE Camp and Conference content, marketing initiatives, publishing projects, and other organizational needs
- Plan, schedule, and manage onsite video productions in collaboration with the Creative Director
- Coordinate offsite filming and location-based video projects as assigned
- Assist with casting, location scouting, and other pre-production needs
- Capture high-quality video while maintaining established YM360 and GENERATE visual standards
- Train and equip Summer Staff Visual Producers to effectively capture footage for GENERATE Camp recap videos
- Assist in the creation of GENERATE and YM360 social media content as needed
- Video Editing & Post Production
- Serve as the primary editor for YM360 video projects
- Manage editing schedules and production workflows to ensure project timelines and deadlines are consistently met
- Edit content for a wide range of formats, audiences, platforms, and organizational initiatives
- Partner with internal team members and external contributors to coordinate motion graphics, audio production, design, and other post-production elements
- Ensure completed projects consistently meet YM360 and GENERATE brand and quality standards
- Prepare and deliver final video assets in the formats required by project stakeholders and distribution platforms
- Video Operations & Asset Management
- Manage YM360 video production and photography equipment, including cameras, lighting, audio, and related production equipment
- Maintain equipment in excellent working condition and coordinate repairs, replacements, or maintenance as needed
- Manage scheduling and usage of YM360 in-office studio space
- Maintain the organization, cleanliness, and readiness of production facilities
- Develop and maintain an organized digital library of footage, completed videos, and reusable video assets
- Ensure video assets can be efficiently located and repurposed for future projects

- Events Team
- Produce video content supporting GENERATE Camps, Conferences, and other live event initiatives
- Collaborate on storytelling, promotional, onsite, and recap content surrounding GENERATE experiences
- Coordinate production needs and timelines around seasonal event schedules
- Marketing Team
- Produce social media advertising, promotional, product, and campaign video content
- Support marketing initiatives across YM360 revenue streams, including GENERATE, YM360 Plus, Follower, MIDWEEK, P360, and other products and initiatives
- Collaborate on creative concepts that translate marketing objectives into effective visual content
- Publishing Team
- Produce curriculum training, teacher-preparation, product sales, leadership development, and other publishing-related video content
- Partner with project leaders to ensure video content supports the intended resource and audience
- Operations Team
- Coordinate final deliverables, formats, deadlines, and distribution requirements
- Ensure completed video assets are prepared and delivered appropriately for websites, digital platforms, social channels, and other distribution needs
- Creative Team
- Collaborate with the Creative Director and other Creative Team members from concept development through final execution
- Participate actively in creative meetings and provide visual-production expertise during project planning
- Help maintain consistency across the organization's broader visual brand
- Events Team
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in video production, videography, or a related creative production role (experience in church, ministry, or live event environments a plus)
- Strong expertise in professional video camera operation and video production
- Strong understanding of lighting and audio equipment as they relate to video production
- Demonstrated video editing experience using Adobe Creative Suite
- Working knowledge of motion graphics and animation using Adobe After Effects or comparable software
- Understanding of photography and professional image capture
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to plan projects effectively and consistently meet production deadlines
- Strong creative instincts with the ability to translate concepts into compelling visual content
- Ability to collaborate effectively with project leaders, contractors, and other contributors
- High attention to detail and commitment to production excellence
- Ability to receive creative direction while also contributing original ideas and solutions
- Must be willing to support the Christian mission, vision, and values of YM360
- Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ with a Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside YM360
Schedule
- Monday-Friday from our home office; 40 hours per week
- Some overnight travel will be required for video projects
- Seasonal summer travel will be required to capture footage at GENERATE events
- Occasional night and weekend travel will be required depending on the location, schedule, or scope of assigned video projects

- YM360 and GENERATE visual brand standards are consistently maintained
- Internal project leaders receive dependable, timely communication and deliverables
- Video production schedules and deadlines are proactively managed
- Production equipment, studio facilities, and video assets remain organized, maintained, and ready for use
- Video footage and completed assets are properly archived and easily accessible for future projects
- Strong collaboration exists between the Video Producer and Creative, Events, Marketing, Publishing, and Operations teams
- The Video Producer actively contributes ideas that strengthen YM360 creative work and visual storytelling
