About the role

RALLY seeks an early-career video producer to work on issue advocacy, social change, and political campaigns. The video producer will contribute to video projects in a variety of ways, with post-production (specifically video editing and motion graphics) as the core duty of the role. Proven expertise in cinematography and/or other specialty video skills are highly appreciated. The candidate will be expected to use and grow their skills in project management and writing for video as they progress in this role.

RALLY currently produces TV, digital, and issue-related content with a small in-house team, as well as with external vendors. The new video producer will work closely with RALLY’s senior video producer, whilst frequently collaborating with the firm’s design, digital, and communications teams. This position requires a confident self-starter who is adept at navigating uncertainty, problem-solving independently, and working across teams on multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Leading on post-production for client videos – editing footage, developing graphics, and delivering visually compelling video products
  • Staying up to date with platform-specific best practices for editing and video distribution, and enacting those best practices in your work
  • Handling video file management, sharing, and delivery
  • Coordinating with RALLY colleagues, design and digital team members, and clients
  • Managing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
  • Contributing to creative ideation for video projects
  • Contributing to RALLY’s approach to video processes and platforms
  • Writing impactful, visually compelling, and on-message scripts (with input and guidance from the senior video producer)
  • Assisting with in-person video shoots as needed by the senior video producer
  • Performing other video-related tasks as directed by and with input from the senior video producer

Requirements

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent
  • A strong portfolio of video projects
  • 2+ years’ experience of nonlinear video editing experience, preferably in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Intermediate or advanced After Effects/motion design experience
  • Working knowledge of other Adobe Creative suite tools, including Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Strong writing skills
  • Proven technical skills including audio mixing, color correction, and creation/use of Mogrt files
  • Demonstrated format knowledge, including codecs, frame rates, resolution scaling, and so on
  • Understanding of feedback tools such as Frame IO
  • Ability to manage project workflow, juggle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in written format, with varying levels of company staff, clients, media, and vendors
  • Strong computer literacy (e.g. in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Slack, Google Suite)
  • Experience using social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok
  • Innovative and solutions-oriented – demonstrated resourcefulness, optimism, and flexibility in approach to project assignments
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Intellectual curiosity and sense of humor
  • Team player with the ability to assume responsibility, take accountability, and lead when needed

Nice-to-haves:

RALLY is a hybrid workplace. Team members are expected to work on-site two days per week to foster collaboration and connection, with flexibility on other days.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $80,000-$90,000 with opportunities for growth and advancement based on performance and contributions to the team’s success.
