About the role
The Host & Producer will be the main face of River's video content, presenting medium-length scripted videos with clarity, warmth, and authority. They will shoot their own footage, own the production quality, and collaborate with the Video Content Strategist to ensure scripts land naturally.
Responsibilities
- Present scripted explainers with the clarity and warmth that make viewers trust and engage with the content.
- Own the craft edit, defining color, sound, B-roll, and motion-graphics direction, and directing the editor to maintain the energy of the moment.
- Conduct interviews for feature-style videos when stories call for it.
- Collaborate with the Video Content Strategist to make every script land in your natural voice.
Requirements
- On-camera presence to deliver scripted explainers and make strangers feel like friends.
- Proven self-shooting ability with a portfolio of high-quality footage.
- Production skills in framing, lighting, and audio execution.
- A strong sense of ownership and a bias for iteration to improve each video.
- A curiosity about money and Bitcoin, and eagerness to become genuinely conversant on camera.
- Integrity as the main face of the brand.
Qualifications
- Experience shooting and producing your own footage.
- Strong editing skills (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut) are a plus.
- Motion graphics or animation experience is a plus.
- A background in finance, economics, or journalism is a plus.
- Interviewing experience is a plus.
Skills
