Video Game Playtester | Intern | Part-Time Remote | Join an Indie Game Studio
About the role
We are building My Life as a Spy, an online multiplayer spy game set in an alternate-reality 1987. This is a chance to join an indie game studio as a playtesting intern and be part of the early stages of the project.
Responsibilities
- Play early versions of My Life as a Spy during live multiplayer playtests.
- Provide honest feedback on the game's fun factor, complexity, and overall quality.
- Identify and report bugs encountered during playtests.
- Offer suggestions for improving the game based on your observations.
Requirements
- Age 18 or older.
- A computer capable of running the game.
- An internet connection.
- Access to Discord or another communication tool for playtest instructions.
- The ability to join live multiplayer sessions.
- Willingness to give honest feedback after playing.
- Basic ability to report bugs clearly if found.
- Reliability and respectfulness during playtests.
Qualifications
No prior professional experience is required. Just enjoy games and want to gain experience in the video game industry.
Skills
None specifically required, but enjoyment of multiplayer games and a willingness to provide honest feedback are essential.

Schedule
This is a part-time opportunity with most interns joining 1 to 2 playtests per month. Each playtest usually lasts around 2 to 3 hours, and they typically happen on weekends. There are no fixed daily hours, and you do not need to work every day.
