Core Responsibilities
- Edit 30–90 short-form videos per month across Instagram, TikTok, Meta, and YouTube Shorts.
- Work from raw long-form content (summits, interviews, webinars, live events).
- Find the magic moments — without being told where to look. You’ll watch, listen, and discover the powerful, emotional, or funny clips that have viral potential.
- Cut, color, and sound-balance for each platform (vertical + horizontal).
- Add captions, headlines, and subtle motion graphics to create thumb-stopping content that feels human and cinematic.
- Use AI-assisted tools (like OpusClip, Descript, or Runway) to increase output and speed — while preserving authenticity and tone.
- Create short-form video series for product launches, summits, and membership promotions.
- Collaborate with our Creative Lead (Ash) and Social Consultant to ensure brand consistency and campaign cohesion.
- Deliver video batches ready for upload and scheduling.
- Maintain an organized content library of raw footage, edits, and published assets in Drive.
- Watch and identify story arcs, patterns, and moments of emotion that resonate with Ecoversity’s mission — transformation, nature, learning, and belonging.
- Suggest story angles or series concepts based on recurring themes you notice in the footage.
- Create compelling video content for social media, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook.
- Work closely with the creative team to plan, storyboard, shoot, and edit videos that align with Ecoversity’s brand and mission.
- Capture the essence of our campaigns, like the Herbalism Campaign, by highlighting our teachers, the natural world, and getting creative with trends.
- Edit videos with attention to detail, ensuring engaging pacing, transitions, and storytelling for digital audiences.
- Incorporate subtitles, motion graphics, and on-brand animations as needed.
- Deliver final assets optimized for various platforms and formats.
Skills & Background
- 3+ years experience editing for social or digital brands (bonus if in wellness, education, or purpose-driven media).
- Skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut, or similar. After effects experience a bonus.
- Familiar with AI editing tools (Descript, Runway, OpusClip, or similar) and how to blend them with manual editing finesse.
- Proven ability to produce consistent, high-volume short-form content that performs on social media.
- Strong grasp of visual rhythm, pacing, captions, and sound design for virality.
- Comfortable working independently — no micromanagement, just collaboration and accountability.
- Deep aesthetic alignment with Ecoversity’s world: nature, plants, learning, and soulful storytelling.
- Bonus: You love plants. You’ve spent time learning from nature. You understand the quiet rhythm of growth — and can translate that energy into movement, sound, and story.
Outputs & Success Metrics
- 60–90 short-form edits per month (mix of 15s, 30s, and 90s).
- Regular cross-platform usage (IG, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Meta).
- 20%+ improvement in average engagement across channels within 3 months.
- Organized and searchable drive system for raw + edited footage.
- Demonstrated ability to spot trends and pull viral moments without direction.
