Video Editor Intern (3 months, Part Time)
About the role
We're looking for a Video Editor Intern who's ready to work on real client campaigns, not busywork. You'll cut footage that actually runs on paid media and social, get direct feedback from senior editors and Art Directors, and leave this internship with a stronger reel and sharper instincts than you started with.
Requirements
- A reel or website demonstrating edited video work (school projects, personal work, or professional experience all count)
- Working knowledge of Premiere Pro
- Basic understanding of video formats and platform-specific specifications
- Demonstrated interest in storytelling and visual design fundamentals
- Comfortable taking direction and iterating quickly based on feedback
- Reliable time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a film, media, or related program
Qualifications
Your role (and impact) As Video Editor Intern, you'll support the production of video assets across paid media, organic social, and digital channels, working alongside senior editors, designers, and account teams on live client work.
Core responsibilities
- Edit video assets from raw footage through polished first and second cuts, with senior editor or Art Director review before final delivery
- Support pacing, sequencing, and storytelling structure under guidance from senior team members
- Edit and balance dialogue, music, and sound effects to a professional standard
- Create multiple versions of the same asset (aspect ratios, lengths, captions) to support testing and platform-specific needs
- Add text overlays, subtitles, and light motion elements as directed
- Incorporate feedback from internal stakeholders efficiently across multiple revision rounds
- Use AI as a creative and production assistant, experimenting with tools to generate footage and audio, and to accelerate assembly, captioning, and versioning
- Organize and manage project files, footage, and assets within team workflows
- Assist Senior Editors with sourcing sound effects and stock footage, setting up projects, and creating cutdowns
Skills
You'll be expected to use AI tools as part of your day-to-day editing process, not as a novelty add-on. That means experimenting with AI to help generate footage and audio, speed up assembly and versioning, and streamline captioning across formats. AI is there to accelerate your workflow and free up time for the creative decisions that actually need a human eye. It doesn't replace your judgment on pacing, storytelling, or quality.
