Victim Advocate

About the role

This full-time Victim Advocate works under the direction of the Box Elder County Attorney and the Box Elder County Attorney's Victims Services Director to assist victims of crime through the judicial process.

Responsibilities

• Provide victims with information concerning their rights under the law and the legal process.
• Assess the needs of victims and make appropriate referrals to community services.
• Assist victims in the preparation of victim impact statements and applications for assistance from Crime Victims Reparations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
• Minimum of six (6) months of experience in victim assistance or advocacy.
