Vice President (VP) / Senior VP, Clinical Development

About the role

The Vice President (VP) / Senior Vice President, Clinical Development will lead the clinical development strategy for a leading biopharmaceutical company. Reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer, this role oversees all aspects of clinical development, including drug development, regulatory affairs, and clinical operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute clinical development strategies aligned with business objectives
• Oversee clinical trials from concept through approval, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Manage relationships with regulatory agencies, including FDA and EMA
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches
• Lead the evaluation and selection of clinical trial sites and vendors
• Ensure alignment with corporate goals and strategic initiatives

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Life Sciences or related field with 15+ years of relevant experience
• Proven track record in leading clinical development programs
• Experience in managing global clinical development programs
• Strong understanding of regulatory processes and guidelines
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
