Vice President, Total Rewards
Role Overview
The Vice President for Total Rewards will lead the organization's compensation and benefits strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with General Dynamics Corporate and other GD business units on Corporate-wide initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement rewards strategies, setting long-term vision for compensation, benefits, wellness, and recognition programs
Partner with General Dynamics benefits on enterprise-wide programs
Serve as a thought partner to senior leadership on rewards philosophy, market trends, and strategic talent investment
Enforce compliance with regulatory requirements
Champion wellness programs that support employee wellbeing and engagement
Analyze programs routinely to ensure we remain competitive in acquiring and retaining top talent
Manage workplace accommodations efforts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws (e.g., ADA) while fostering organizational agility
Lead initiatives that celebrate our workforce, reinforce our company’s values, and promote a sense of community
Develop an enterprise-wide strategy across mental, financial, social and physical dimensions to enhance the wellbeing and performance of a standout and future-ready workforce
Provide Total Reward leadership for M&A due diligence, integration and harmonization, ensuring alignment with GDIT compensation and benefits strategies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 10+ years of progressive leadership experience managing large-scale Total Rewards programs
US Person
Deep knowledge of compensation and benefits strategies and related compliance requirements
Preferred
Master’s degree in HR, Organizational Leadership, or a related discipline
Experience leading enterprise-wide benefits, compensation, and employee recognition programs
Background in cross-functional collaboration for large, dispersed, or global enterprises
Skills & Competencies
High emotional intelligence with the ability to address sensitive matters confidentially and diplomatically
Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
Strong analytical and decision-making skills; able to guide data-driven improvements
Forward-thinking and agile, with the ability to balance compliance needs with creative solutions
Proven leadership skills, with experience mentoring, inspiring, and scaling high-performing teams
Additional Information
The likely salary range for this position is $267,550 - $345,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Travel Required: Less than 10%
