For our client, we are seeking a Vice President, Real Estate Development to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space. This leader will oversee development and acquisition efforts in Texas, with a focus on sourcing new opportunities, building a strong pipeline, and advancing projects from early diligence through closing. The role partners closely with investment analysis, internal development teams, and external stakeholders to evaluate feasibility, manage risk, and support business growth in key Texas markets. Success in this position will require deep market relationships, strong financial and negotiation skills, and the ability to shape annual strategy for a high-impact development platform. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $160,000 – $200,000 annually Responsibilities Source and evaluate new development and acquisition opportunities in Texas Build a pipeline of off-market opportunities through key industry relationships Lead due diligence for acquisitions, assessing risk and feasibility Cultivate relationships with stakeholders in Texas real estate Work with the investment analysis team on financial models and underwriting Represent the company at industry events to enhance brand presence Coordinate with internal teams to advance projects from sourcing to closing Monitor local regulations impacting development in Texas markets Set annual business development goals and strategy Qualifications Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, business, or related field; graduate degree preferred 10+ years in commercial real estate development, acquisitions, or business development with proven deal sourcing in Texas Established network with Texas landowners, brokers, municipalities, and capital partners Experience overseeing all phases of development projects including acquisition, entitlement, design, and construction Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; familiarity with ARGUS Enterprise is a plus Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and travel as needed Benefits 401K matching Tuition reimbursement Summer Fridays Paid maternity leave Generous employee referral program Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
