About the role

KCSA Strategic Communications is seeking a Vice President of Public Relations within our Media & Advertising Technology PR practice. The ideal candidate is comfortable leading multi-faceted strategic initiatives, is a seasoned team leader, has extensive experience in media technology, and a vast network of industry contacts. This role has the potential to work with a range of clients from venture-backed startup companies to large, multinational companies.

At KCSA, our people are our most important resource. We want them to be motivated, empowered, and to thrive, so we invest in them the same way our clients invest in us.

Responsibilities

  • Create comprehensive client plans and strategies, demonstrating a clear knowledge of their vision and translating that into communications objectives

  • Serve as point of contact for 6-9 client accounts
  • Lead a team of AAE, AE, SAE, and AD level employees, providing guidance and direct feedback on performance and deliverables. VPs set the tone for KCSA and help foster growth and develop talent into the next generation of PR leaders
  • Maintain key relations with target media contacts
  • Maintain and cultivate relationships with clients, ensuring they consider the VP a strategic member of their team, not just their “agency lead.” KCSA VPs maintain a regular line of face-to-face, call, and email communication with their clients
  • Write and/or edit all final drafts of documentation and media for clients
  • Participate in new business initiatives including drafting of proposals/decks and pitching potential clients

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using media databases
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Benefits

  • A renowned team of public relations professionals with unparalleled knowledge of integrated communications
  • A front-row seat to cutting-edge industries and the communications strategies that fuel unprecedented growth
  • In-house investor relations & social media teams, enabling full-cycle communications campaigns driving awareness and getting results
  • Remote work capabilities for all employees
  • Notable monetary incentive for new client referrals
  • Generous 401K contributions (½ up to 12%), full benefits, and paid time off
  • Quarterly mental health days as well as a paid day off for your birthday
  • ½ summer Fridays
  • A true work-life balance. At KCSA, we understand that the best work comes from an energized mind and body
