About the Role

We are seeking a visionary and customer-centric product leader to drive the evolution of our analytics product suite. The Vice President, Custom Analytics leads a high-performing team of data scientists, analytics consultants, and insight specialists responsible for delivering strategic, high-impact analytics solutions to enterprise stakeholders. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong analytical background, capable of leading globally distributed teams and collaborating closely with engineering to deliver innovative solutions that enhance customer experience. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical expertise with executive presence, business acumen, and organizational leadership. The candidate is required to balance the delivery of bespoke analytics engagements with the development of reusable assets, methodologies, and capabilities that improve scale, consistency, and business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a business owner and manage long-term and short-term strategic initiatives for custom analytics (analytics consulting) and products derived from those custom analytics
  • Develop and deliver a consistent product vision, strategy, and roadmap for custom analytics, configured analytics, and new products derived from custom and configured analytics
  • Drive tangible data-driven business outcomes at the analytics program level, manage to a quantified scorecard continuously monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators, and optimize custom analytics product performance
  • Oversee product incubation and evolution, establish go-to-market strategy, optimize products and resources, implement incremental improvements within the product’s life cycle, conduct ongoing care and maintenance, and manage P&L
  • Establish and drive product management disciplines across the product lifecycle, e.g., Studio framework, Agile development and product quality, ensuring product readiness across Technology, Delivery, Product, and GTM perspectives
  • Manage and optimize budgets, forecasting, and cost allocation to enable the delivery of key business objectives
  • Advocate for analytics program and custom analytics products by creating compelling communications for Senior and Executive Management
  • Build, motivate, and lead direct and cross-functional teams, leveraging trust-based relationships to deliver an efficient operating model
  • Drive a user-centric culture of data-driven, test-and-learn experimentation, continuously assessing and enhancing the product user experience
  • Lead cross-functional teams including Delivery and Servicing teams (GCC, CTS, Biz Ops) to ensure that products are easy to deploy and deliver a great experience during operation
  • Engage in scheduled Voice of the Customer activities to identify product friction points, creating and owning the action plan to address them in partnership with Product Operations
  • Emulate and drive Mastercard Way behaviors through behavior, recognitions, coaching, and employee engagement
  • Drive institutionalized knowledge through the use of consistent documentation (e.g., support documents) across all processes to support knowledge management and ensure consistency and repeatability across projects

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to lead in a matrix environment
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with complete independence and autonomy
  • Proven track record of data-driven decision making and applying continuous improvement and test-and-learn methodologies across teams
  • Demonstrated experience as a leader of leaders with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop product talent (both managers and individual contributors)
  • Ability to communicate to executives, peers, and staff with impact, eloquence, and authenticity
  • Demonstrated experience building organizational relationships, partnering with and influencing executive leadership while commanding the respect of individual product practitioners across the organization
  • Experience in translating and applying customer feedback to lead product offering adjustment strategies and new product incubation
  • Experience in setting direction for go-to-market plans and leveraging market insights to differentiate from competitors
  • Skills to promote and coach teams to facilitate end-to-end product ownership
  • Skills to develop and evangelize product lifecycle management ways of working, processes, and tools

Purchase, New York: $235,000 - $375,000 USD

Arlington, Virginia: $235,000 - $375,000 USD

O'Fallon, Missouri: $204,000 - $326,000 USD
