About the role
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Vice President of Procurement to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead procurement strategies that support business objectives while improving efficiency and value.
- Oversee sourcing activities, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and purchasing operations across multiple categories.
- Manage supplier relationships throughout the full lifecycle, from onboarding and performance monitoring through renewal or termination.
- Lead procurement operations teams and ensure consistent service delivery, process compliance, and stakeholder support.
- Partner with finance, legal, technology, and operational teams to support budgeting, purchasing decisions, and vendor governance.
Requirements
- Strong ability to lead complex sourcing initiatives and negotiate favorable commercial agreements.
- Prior experience managing procurement controls, purchasing workflows, and supplier compliance programs.
- Advanced financial acumen with the ability to support forecasting, spend analysis, budgeting, and cost management initiatives.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills at the executive level.
- Ability to drive process improvements, system enhancements, and data driven decision making across procurement functions.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, supplier management, or related operations.
- Proven experience leading procurement teams and supporting enterprise wide purchasing activities.
- Previous experience working with ERP systems, workflow platforms, and procurement technology solutions.
- MBA or professional procurement certification is preferred, along with experience managing strategic vendor relationships.
Pay
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $150,000 to $175,000 per year.
