About the role

This executive role is critical in ensuring the integrity, resilience, and efficiency of IT services and systems. The Vice President of Network and Security will lead the strategic and operational management of the company's network infrastructure and security framework.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a cohesive network and security strategy that aligns with the company's objectives and risk tolerance.
  • Lead the network and security teams, oversee the deployment of network and security infrastructures, and manage large-scale projects.
  • Establish and maintain secure network architectures for both cloud-based and on-premise environments.
  • Proactively monitor the company's security and network performance, implementing improvements as necessary.
  • Conduct and oversee regular systems tests and ensure continuous monitoring of network security.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures for network administration, security protocols, and disaster recovery.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate with service providers to ensure service levels meet company needs.
  • Stay current with the latest networking and security technologies and trends, and apply this knowledge to improve the infrastructure.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in network management and security, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing large-scale IT projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience in industries with high regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Prior experience in transforming IT infrastructure and security postures to support scaling operations.
  • Certifications:
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
    • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
    • Other relevant certifications in network or security management.
