Key Responsibilities

  • TimeEnterprise Mission Strategy and Function Leadership
    • Set the vision, strategy, operating priorities, and performance expectations for the Mission Impact function in alignment with GICF's strategic plan.
    • Serve as the executive voice for mission impact with executive leadership, funders, public agencies, community partners, and internal stakeholders.
    • Translate mission priorities into a coordinated operating agenda that connects programs, funding, retail training environments, partnerships, and measurable outcomes.
    • Lead impact reporting, including analysis of outcomes, trends, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions for executive review.
  • Program Portfolio and Economic Mobility
    • Provide executive leadership for the Prosperity Platform and related economic mobility initiatives, including participant pathways, referral networks, service standards, and outcome measurement.
    • Strengthen programs that help employees, program participants, and community members increase earnings, remove barriers, stabilize finances, build assets, and advance toward self-defined goals.
    • Coach Mission Impact leaders and Prosperity Planners to build consistent practices, active referral networks, and participant-centered supports.
    • Use data, participant feedback, operational input, and partner insights to evaluate program effectiveness and refine services.
  • Funding Strategy and External Partnerships
    • Lead the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of public, private, philanthropic, and community funding opportunities aligned with mission priorities.
    • Oversee grant strategy, proposal development, funder reporting, and compliance partnership to ensure resources support sustainable and measurable impact.
    • Build and maintain strategic relationships with employers, funders, public agencies, nonprofits, education providers, referral sources, and community organizations across the service area.
    • Identify emerging community needs and develop partnerships that expand access to transitional employment, supported work, and economic mobility resources.
  • Retail Training Center and Operations Integration
    • Partner with Retail Operations to advance the Retail Training Center model and embed transitional and supported work practices into operating environments.
    • Establish structures, documentation, training expectations, and feedback loops that connect Mission Impact programming with retail execution.
    • Cookordinate with HR, Finance, IT, Operations, Learning and Development, and Development to implement new processes, technology, reporting, and service models.
    • Anticipate operational barriers and lead practical solutions that protect program quality, participant experience, team alignment, and business continuity.
  • Governance, Accreditation, and Organizational Performance
    • Lead CARF accreditation readiness and ongoing compliance activities, including documentation, process discipline, cross-functional coordination, and corrective action follow-up.
    • Establish KPIs, evaluation practices, and documentation systems that measure assistance provided, participant outcomes, funding compliance, and mission return on investment.
    • Serve as senior project leader for critical Mission Impact initiatives, managing scope, timelines, dependencies, communication, analysis, and implementation follow-through.
    • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports while modeling ethical decision-making, accountability, collaboration, and respect for the individual.

    Qualifications

    • Education and Experience
      • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit leadership, social services, workforce development, business, public administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • Master's degree preferred.
      • Ten to fifteen (10-15) years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit, workforce development, human services, community impact, social enterprise, public funding, or related mission-driven environments.
      • Demonstrated experience leading teams, program portfolios, cross-functional initiatives, community partnerships, grant-funded work, and measurable outcome frameworks.
    • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
      • Executive leadership capability with the ability to translate mission strategy into operating plans, measurable outcomes, and sustained execution.
      • Strategic relationship-building skills with the ability to engage funders, public agencies, employers, nonprofit partners, education providers, internal leaders, and community stakeholders.
      • Knowledge of economic mobility, workforce development, supported employment, transitional work, referral networks, barrier removal, and participant-centered service models.
      • Ability to lead grant strategy, proposal development, funding alignment, reporting, and stewardship in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
      • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to define KPIs, interpret data, evaluate outcomes, build reports, and communicate insights to varied audiences.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive presentations, board reporting, community presentations, and persuasive written materials.
      • High standards for ethical leadership, documentation, compliance, continuous improvement, and respectful service to employees, participants, and community members.
      • Proficiency with contemporary productivity tools such as AI and the Microsoft Office suite; ability to use information systems and reporting tools to support documentation, analysis, and decision-making.
    • Physical Demands and Working Conditions
      • Ability to perform work in office, retail, community partner, and meeting environments, including sitting, standing, walking, and using a computer for extended periods.
      • Ability to communicate clearly in individual, group, executive, and community settings and adjust to varied noise levels and work environments.
      • Vision sufficient for computer work, documentation review, presentations, and observation of program or participant activities.
      • Ability to travel independently to GICF retail locations, community sites, partner meetings, funding meetings, and events within the service area; occasional evening or weekend commitments may be required based on business needs.
      • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally.

      Licensing and Certification

      • Valid Florida Driver's License with satisfactory driving record.
