About the role

EmpowerHome is looking for a strategic, data-driven, and execution-focused Vice President of Marketing to lead our marketing organization and help accelerate the next phase of our growth. This is an opportunity for a proven marketing executive who wants more than a traditional corporate leadership role. EmpowerHome already has significant marketing investments, established lead-generation channels, proven initiatives, and teams operating across multiple markets. You are not walking into a blank canvas. Your job is to understand what is working, protect the strategies producing results, improve what can perform better, and identify the opportunities that can take our marketing to the next level.

The VP of Marketing will own the company's marketing strategy, lead generation, demand generation, campaign performance, content strategy, direct-response marketing, messaging, vendor relationships, and development of the marketing team. This is a hands-on executive leadership role. We're looking for someone who can move comfortably between the boardroom and the details—someone who can analyze a dashboard in the morning, challenge a campaign strategy, improve an offer, coach a team member, and make sure a campaign actually launches.

Why This Opportunity Is Different

At EmpowerHome, marketing isn't simply about generating impressions, clicks, or activity.

This is not a traditional VP of Marketing role where success is measured by how many campaigns are launched or how much content is produced. We are looking for a marketing leader who understands that great marketing should create measurable business opportunities.

Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and lead EmpowerHome's overall marketing strategy in alignment with company growth goals and mission.
  • Own the company's marketing strategy, lead generation, demand generation, campaign performance, content strategy, direct-response marketing, messaging, vendor relationships, and development of the marketing team.

Lead Generation & Direct-Response Marketing

  • Lead strategies that generate qualified buyer, seller, recruiting, referral, and database leads.

Marketing Performance & Analytics

  • Monitor key marketing metrics, including lead volume, lead quality, cost per lead, cost per opportunity, appointment generation, campaign response, conversion trends, and marketing ROI.

Content, Messaging & Campaign Strategy

  • Lead strategic content planning across consumer marketing, recruiting, database marketing, brand, and internal communications.

Marketing Execution & Operational Leadership

  • Lead marketing initiatives from strategy and concept through execution, launch, and performance analysis.

Vendor & Budget Management

  • Lead relationships with marketing agencies, technology providers, consultants, media partners, and other external vendors.

Marketing Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing marketing team.

Qualifications

We're looking for an accomplished marketing executive with the strategic vision, analytical ability, and leadership skills to drive measurable growth. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Significant leadership experience in marketing, growth marketing, direct-response marketing, demand generation, or a related field
  • Proven experience leading a marketing department, agency, or cross-functional marketing team
  • Demonstrated success generating qualified consumer leads and measurable business growth
  • Strong knowledge of direct-response marketing, offer development, campaign strategy, consumer psychology, and conversion-focused messaging
  • Experience using marketing analytics and performance data to make strategic business decisions
  • Experience managing substantial marketing budgets, agencies, vendors, and strategic partnerships
  • Proven ability to build scalable systems, improve processes, and lead complex initiatives from strategy through execution
  • Strong people-leadership skills with a track record of coaching, developing, and retaining high-performing team members
  • Excellent judgment, communication, prioritization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in real estate, consumer services, home services, financial services, multi-location businesses, or other lead-driven organizations is preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, marketing automation, artificial intelligence (AI), digital advertising, SEO, database marketing, direct mail, content marketing, and emerging search platforms is strongly preferred

The Person Who Will Thrive at EmpowerHome

This opportunity is best suited for a marketing leader who:

  • Thinks strategically but is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves and executing
  • Naturally studies the numbers and asks, "What are the numbers telling us?"
  • Knows when to protect a successful marketing initiative rather than changing it simply to make it their own
  • Can improve existing programs while identifying new opportunities for growth
  • Understands the difference between marketing activity and measurable business results
  • Is confident making decisions and respectfully challenging assumptions when necessary
  • Creates clarity, structure, and momentum when things are unclear
  • Can move projects forward without waiting for perfect information or universal agreement
  • Cares deeply about people and knows how to coach, develop, motivate, and hold a team accountable
  • Is comfortable giving clear, direct, and constructive feedback—even when it isn't the easiest conversation
  • Collaborates effectively without allowing the need for consensus to slow down execution
  • Is curious about the consumer real estate industry and eager to understand the customer journey deeply
  • Has meaningful direct-response marketing experience and understands that great marketing should inspire measurable action
  • Takes ownership of outcomes and looks for solutions instead of waiting for someone else to solve the problem
  • Is energized by growth, experimentation, continuous improvement, and the opportunity to build something meaningful

A Builder's Mindset Matters

We're not looking for someone who simply wants to manage an existing marketing department. We're looking for a leader who wants to build, improve, test, measure, and grow. If you see a successful program, you'll understand how to protect it. If you see an underperforming campaign, you'll want to understand why. If you see an opportunity, you'll know how to turn the idea into an executable plan. Most importantly, you'll understand that marketing isn't successful because a campaign was launched on time. Marketing is successful when it creates measurable opportunities and helps the business grow.
