About the role
The Vice President of Human Resources leads the Human Resources strategy to align employee talent with organizational goals. The Vice President of Human Resources advises the CEO and leadership on culture, talent acquisition, workforce planning and oversees Human Resources staff.
Responsibilities
- Direct the Human Resources and Professional Development Departments and ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, standards, and statutes.
- Evaluate and revise policies, procedures, employee handbooks, processes, and technical assistance.
- Ensure sound, evidence-based recruitment practices, including those for physicians and NPs.
- Research factors influencing retention and recruitment and develop solutions.
- Ensure employment offers are completed accurately.
- Determine approvals for position requests, including pay rate changes and pay scales.
- Review and revise the compensation structure and pay scales as needed.
- Apply expert knowledge in employment law and work closely with legal counsel on EEOC cases and employment-related lawsuits.
- Conduct employee relations activities, including mediating conflict and adverse actions.
- Coordinate staff satisfaction surveys and implement corrective action processes as needed.
- Abide by the Executive Team Agreements established by the team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
