About the role
This is a hands-on finance leadership position at Jack Laurie Group. The VP of Finance will own the financial function, provide clear insights, and drive business growth.
Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day financial operations and reporting
- Turn numbers into clear, actionable insights for leadership
- Partner with operations to improve job costing, margins, and performance
- Drive accountability across the business through simple, effective scorecards
- Work closely with purchasing and procurement to control costs and improve efficiency
- Lead and develop the finance team while setting the standard for accountability
- Take ownership of cash flow, cost control, and overall financial performance
Requirements
- Experience in a privately held, mid-sized company
- Background as a Controller, Director of Finance, or similar leadership role
- Strong understanding of construction or operational finance (job costing is key)
- Experience working closely with operations and purchasing teams
- Prioritizes results over maintaining status quo
- Communicates clearly and takes initiative
