Vice President of Finance and Accounting

We are looking for a strategic finance leader to oversee accounting and financial operations for a growing organization in Round Rock, Texas. This executive will guide reporting, planning, analytics, and compliance efforts while partnering closely with senior leadership to support business performance and long-term decision-making. The position also plays a key role in strengthening cross-functional visibility through improved metrics, systems, and team leadership. Responsibilities:• Lead the full scope of finance, accounting, treasury, and enterprise risk activities to support sound financial management across the business.• Oversee accurate project-based accounting, financial forecasting, and organizational reporting, ensuring leaders have timely insight into performance trends.• Produce monthly financial statements, analytical summaries, and board-ready reporting materials for executives and external stakeholders.• Build and manage the annual budgeting process along with periodic reforecasts to align financial plans with operational goals.• Partner with operations, sales, and HR leaders to deliver financial analysis on pricing, incentives, benefits-related costs, and other business decisions.• Develop reporting tools, dashboards, and data analytics capabilities that improve visibility into key performance indicators across departments.• Direct relationships with auditors, tax advisors, legal partners, insurance brokers while reviewing filings, audit activity, and coverage strategies.• Maintain compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements across federal, state, and local jurisdictions.• Lead financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic planning, investment decisions, and executive-level recommendations.• Drive the optimization of organizational systems and processes to improve coordination between finance, operations, sales, and HR, while mentoring and developing a high-performing finance and accounting team. • At least 5 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting leadership roles.• Strong background in project-based accounting, including policy development, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and percentage-of-completion or job-cost methodologies.• Demonstrated experience translating financial and operational data into meaningful analysis and management reporting.• Proven success working in a fast-paced, expanding business environment with the ability to manage complexity and change effectively.• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA and/or MBA credentials are valued, and public accounting experience is a plus.• Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial insights to boards, investors, lenders, and senior executives.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as familiarity with AI tools• Strong personal integrity, sound business judgment, and willingness to travel occasionally in support of multi-market operations.
