Responsibilities

• Oversee the engineering functions of the company and manage both internal and outside resources as required and prioritized.
• Oversee industrial engineering efforts emphasizing cost reduction analysis and continuous improvement projects.
• Oversee operation of all kilns.
• Oversee the identification, development, and periodic review of facility management activities in accordance with continuous improvement goals.
• Evaluate proposed projects (e.g., ROI) including written documentation of the effectiveness of all facility and process changes after project completion.
• Prioritize projects in accordance with existing constraints, involving executive management as required.
• Supervise engineering projects to completion.
• Supervise estimating department ensuring quotations are completed as per departmental established goals.
• Supervise I.T. Department, evaluate and approve all I.T. projects, and work with I.T. Director to maintain and improve computerized work systems.
• Coordinate periodic updates of the costing system involving executive management as required.
• Serve as a member of the management review team.
• Authorized as an officer of the company to execute legal documents on behalf of the company.
• Perform any other miscellaneous duties as required by the QA Manager and/or executive management.

Requirements

Education and experience requirements are at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer but generally include a 4-year degree.
