What You'll Deliver

  • Set construction strategy: Align execution plans with capital priorities, operating requirements, and business objectives.
  • Lead field execution: Oversee mobilization, construction, testing, commissioning support, turnover, and closeout.
  • Champion safety: Establish a visible safety culture across employees, contractors, suppliers, and project sites.
  • Drive contractor performance: Strengthen accountability for productivity, quality, schedule, cost, and contractual commitments.
  • Improve constructability: Integrate engineering, procurement, construction sequencing, site logistics, and operational constraints.
  • Advise executive stakeholders: Translate field conditions and project risks into clear decisions and recovery strategies.

What You Bring

  • Executive experience: 15+ years in EPC construction, utilities, power, natural gas, or infrastructure.
  • Leadership scope: Significant experience leading construction functions, regional operations, or major project teams.
  • Capital-program expertise: Proven oversight of complex projects from preconstruction through operational turnover.
  • Utility knowledge: Experience with electric, natural gas, generation, transmission, distribution, or related infrastructure.
  • Construction discipline: Strong capabilities in safety, quality, constructability, contracts, cost, schedule, and change control.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline—or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CCM, PMP, PE, or recognized safety credentials are preferred.
  • Valuable experience may include transmission, substations, grid modernization, gas systems, generation, large-load interconnections, underground infrastructure, brownfield construction, or major reliability programs.

What Success May Look Like

  • First 30 days: Assess the portfolio, project sites, contractor performance, safety risks, and stakeholder priorities.
  • First 60 days: Establish execution priorities, accountability measures, field controls, and recovery strategies.
  • First 90 days: Improve safety performance, construction productivity, interface management, and delivery predictability.
