About the role
The Vice President of Community Services oversees various community outreach programs aimed at improving access to services and resources for individuals experiencing homelessness.Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance community engagement and support services.
- Oversee the coordination of community partnerships and collaborations.
- Manage and lead a team of community service coordinators.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding homeless services.
- Represent the organization at community events and meetings.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, public health, or related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in community development and outreach.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage teams.
- Experience with grant writing and securing funding for community initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to homelessness.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
